Mac Aero474's bladed part is 2.2mm wide and therefore fits, just like Aero424, most standard hubs and can be used for all types of bikes. However, the bladed part is 1.5mm thick, which makes Aero474 much stronger and more rigid than the 0.9mm thick Aero424. So for those who want to lace aero spokes but need some extra strength, or stronger spokes at the drive side Aero474 will be the right choice.
