The Mac Aero494 with its 3mm wide bladed part stands out visually from the much narrower Aero424 (or CX-Ray). Due to the larger cross-section, it is also significantly stronger and stiffer than other spokes. Therefore, Aero494 is ideal for heavier or stronger riders or for cyclocross or MTB. Because if its aero properties it is also very popular for road, triathlon and time trial bikes.
